3D-printed front and tail lamps with guards for the M36 Jackson tank destroyer in 1:35 scale. Meant for Tamiya kits and others.
Responsibility details are not available.
The M36 Jackson was an American tank destroyer used in the closing stage of the Second World War. Its headlamps and tail lamps were protected by wire guards that kept them from being smashed while driving through brush and narrow passages. These guards tend to be the weak point on a model: they cannot be made thin enough in injection-molded plastic, so they look heavier than on the real vehicle.
The set brings 3D-printed front and tail lamps with guards in 1:35 scale, meant for M36 kits by Tamiya as well as models by other manufacturers. Printing keeps the section of the guard bars fine and the gaps between them clear, which makes the difference obvious on the model straight away.
The parts are fragile and sit on print supports. Cut the supports off with a sharp scalpel with the part supported underneath; never snap them off. Then wash and degrease the surface. The material is not polystyrene, so use a small amount of super glue for bonding. Fit the lamps at the end of the build, after the main spraying, so that the guards do not fill up with paint. Suggest the glass with a drop of gloss clear varnish laid into the bowl of the reflector.
The set is meant for builders of Allied vehicles in 1:35 scale who want to replace the coarse plastic guards on an M36 model with a finer part.
The package contains only the accessory described. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
