This set of injection-molded plastic figures from Trumpeter shows the crew of an American landing craft (LCM) of the Second World War in 1:35 scale. The figures are in working poses at the helm and operating the craft and suit completing a matching model or diorama. The package contains three figures.
The LCM (Landing Craft, Mechanized) landing craft served the US Navy to carry vehicles, supplies and soldiers to the shore in amphibious operations. The crew was several sailors handling the propulsion, the steering and the loading ramp. The figures follow the period uniforms of this crew.
Clean up the mold seams and dry-fit the parts; glue them with slow cement for plastic. Spray the base with an airbrush and finish the uniforms and the skin with a brush. Bring out the recesses with a wash and pick out the edges of the clothing with a dry brush. Note that the figures are slightly taller than those in some other sets.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
