Responsibility details are not available.
A kit of the mobile field chapel of the British Army from the period of the Second World War in 1:35 scale from the Ukrainian manufacturer ICM. This is an unconventional subject from the edge of military equipment, which is missing from an ordinary display case and catches the eye at once among tanks and guns. The basis is a British army truck with a modified body; the exact contents of the package and the number of parts are stated on the box of the kit.
Chaplaincy was an ordinary part of the rear areas with British units in the Second World War. Chaplains accompanied formations into the field and services were held wherever it was possible, often in the open air. A mobile chapel settled that makeshift state: a body was mounted on the chassis of a truck, which when opened created a roofed space with an altar. The vehicle could be moved along after the units, and it also served for funeral rites and for personal conversations. The particular type of chassis and the formation the vehicle served with are set out in the instructions enclosed with the kit.
Work in sections: the chassis and the engine part, the cab, the body. Finish and paint the interior of the body before you close it, or you will no longer get to it. A vehicle of this kind takes only mild patina, because it served in the rear areas and tended to be maintained; rather than mud up to the roof use fine dust on the lower parts and light scuffing of the edges. The inner wooden elements will stand out with oil glazing over a light base. Consider small scenic accessories too, which will give the vehicle a story.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
