Bronco American M3A1 37 mm anti-tank gun is a plastic kit in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American M3A1 37 mm anti-tank gun of the Second World War in 1:35 scale from Bronco. It is a standalone weapon on its carriage, not a vehicle. Bronco is known in this line for a fine parts breakdown, so the kit offers a high level of detail but calls for patience.
The 37 mm gun was the standard American infantry anti-tank weapon at the beginning of the war. It stood on a two-wheeled carriage with trails that opened out and was light enough for the crew to move it by hand. The M3A1 version received a muzzle brake. Against the armor of 1940 it was still adequate, but as more heavily armored vehicles came in, the British 57 mm gun began to replace it; in the Pacific its low weight kept it in service longer. The same gun was also carried by the M3-series light tanks and by the M8 armored car.
Cut the small carriage parts off with a sharp blade while they are still on the sprue and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Assemble and paint the weapon separately from any diorama and make sure both trails sit down on the ground; with a weapon on a carriage the most common mistake is for it to stand on only two points. Pick out the barrel in a darker metallic shade and drill out the muzzle if it is not open. Concentrate the dust effects on the wheels and the lower part of the carriage.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, figures and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
