An injection-molded plastic kit of an off-road truck in 1:35 scale from the Ukrainian manufacturer ICM. The model captures a combat-converted ZiL-131 with a heavy DShKMd machine gun on the cargo bed as the Armed Forces of Ukraine use it. According to the manufacturer the package contains two modern soldier figures and makes it possible to mount the machine gun on either a pillar or a tripod mount. Take the exact number of parts from the instructions in the box.
The ZiL-131 is a rugged off-road truck with all-wheel drive, developed back in the Cold War period. Thanks to its high mobility and payload it still serves today both for supply and as improvised mobile fire support. In the current conflict it appears with an additionally mounted heavy machine gun, which also fulfills the role of air defense and defense against drones.
Build in subassemblies: finish the cab and the engine compartment before closing them up, and assemble the cargo bed with the machine gun separately. Apply a primer before painting and spray with an airbrush. Paint the figures separately. You will bring the vehicle to life with washes into the recesses and pigments for mud and dust effects on the chassis; a modern pixel scheme calls for careful masking.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
