The box contains six miniature injection-molded models of the Grumman F-14D Tomcat carrier fighter in 1:350 scale. These are small accessory aircraft meant to be placed on the decks of aircraft carrier models in the same scale, not a stand-alone large model. Clear canopies are included.
The Grumman F-14 Tomcat was an American two-seat carrier fighter with a variable-geometry wing. The F-14D version was the most modern variant, with upgraded avionics and engines. The Tomcat formed the backbone of the fighter cover of American aircraft carriers until it was retired.
The parts are small, so separate them with a sharp knife and glue them with a liquid plastic cement applied drop by drop. With the wing, watch that the sweep is set the same on every one. Airbrushing before assembly is the easiest way; a gray low-visibility finish was typical.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
