Injection-molded plastic kit of the British U class submarine in 1:400 scale, depicting the boat in Polish service during the Second World War. The package contains parts for a full hull, the conning tower and the deck armament, a stand and decal sheets, and it is completed with resin and photo-etched parts for finer detail.
The U class submarines were smaller British boats suited to training as well as to combat service in enclosed waters. Sokol was one of these boats lent to the Polish Navy in exile, which fought with her among other places in the Mediterranean. The small and agile submarine did well against enemy shipping.
Align the hull halves and sand the joints back. Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent residue before gluing and fix them with cyanoacrylate, as with the photo-etched extras. For a uniform submarine finish, a base coat, dark shades by airbrush and a fine wash to bring out the hatches are the right approach. Bend the fine railings over a metal edge.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
