The missile corvette RKA-71 (Tarantul IV with the Kortik gun and missile system) 1:400 is an injection-molded plastic kit from the Polish manufacturer Mirage Hobby.
Responsibility details are not available.
This kit in 1:400 scale captures the missile corvette RKA-71 of the Tarantul class (Project 1241) in the Tarantul IV form, fitted with the Kortik anti-aircraft gun and missile system. It is an injection-molded plastic model from the Polish brand Mirage Hobby; the package contains plastic parts and a decal sheet.
The Tarantul class (Project 1241) are fast missile corvettes intended to fight surface targets with anti-ship guided missiles. The form with the Kortik close-in weapon system, which combines rotary cannons and guided missiles, markedly strengthened the air defense of the boat. RKA-71 represents one particular unit of this modern variant.
The hull can be built full or as a waterline version; decide on the way you will display it in advance. Assemble the superstructure, the missile canisters and the intricate Kortik system carefully, and clean the small parts up with a sensitive hand. In a small scale, go for thin coats of paint from an airbrush and bring out the deck details with a wash. The railings can be added from photo-etch. Apply the decals over a varnished surface and stand the ship on a display stand.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
