This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:48 scale represents the upgraded A-10C version of the American Thunderbolt II ground-attack aircraft from Italeri. The model captures the rugged shapes of the machine and suits modelers with basic experience of building aircraft.
The A-10 Thunderbolt II, nicknamed the Warthog, is an American ground-attack aircraft intended for close support of ground units and for fighting armored vehicles. The whole structure is built around its seven-barrel rotary cannon. The aircraft is known for its toughness, its long loiter time over the battlefield and its ability to carry a wide range of armament. The A-10C version brought upgraded avionics and the ability to use precision-guided munitions.
During the build, take care over the correct seating of the engine nacelles and of the stores under the wings. Use liquid cement for plastic on the plastic parts and apply a primer before painting. The gray camouflage shades are best laid on with an airbrush; apply the decals onto a gloss varnish and even out the excess sheen with a matte varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
