An injection-molded plastic kit of the American LTV A-7A Corsair II carrier-based attack aircraft in 1:48 scale from Hobby Boss. The model has a finely engraved surface texture, a detailed cockpit with glazing, well-worked landing gear and rich options for external stores. The large 1:48 format brings out the robust, stubby fuselage.
The A-7 Corsair II was an American subsonic carrier-based attack aircraft that replaced the older A-4 Skyhawk in navy service and was committed as early as the Vietnam War. The A-7A version was the first production variant. The machine was valued for its large weapons load and the accuracy of its attacks, and its short, stubby fuselage with the large nose air intake is unmistakable.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with thin cement for plastic. Assemble and paint the cockpit first, then close up the fuselage; mask the glazing and paint the frames separately. Lay down a primer before painting. Assemble and paint the pylons and the stores separately. An airbrush and a fine wash in the engraved lines suit the naval camouflage schemes.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
