ICM B-26G Marauder is a plastic kit of the American twin-engine medium bomber of the Second World War in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from ICM captures the late variant of the American medium bomber Martin B-26G Marauder in 1:48 scale. The model matches the final production version with an increased wing angle of incidence, it faithfully copies the shapes and proportions of the real subject and it offers a finely worked cockpit and fuselage equipment. Decals for American and Free French machines are included.
The B-26G was the last production modification of the Marauder from Glenn L. Martin. Compared with earlier versions the wing received a higher angle of incidence, which was meant to improve the behavior of the machine on takeoff and landing, both demanding for Marauder crews. It was a fast twin-engine medium bomber deployed mainly over Europe; some of the machines also flew with French units.
Separate the parts from the sprues with a sharp knife and glue the joints with liquid cement for plastic. Finishing and painting the cockpit and the landing gear bays before closing the fuselage is the way to go. For an even coat of metallic and camouflage shades an airbrush and a base coat of primer work well; the panel lines can be brought out with a wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
