This is a resin detail accessory, not a kit. The set holds a faithfully rendered ejection seat of the late type for the F-86A Sabre jet fighter. The fine casting captures the texture of the cushion, the backrest and the straps considerably better than a plastic part from a mold and markedly raises the look of the cockpit.

The real subject

The F-86A was the first production version of the famous American swept-wing jet fighter Sabre, which made its name in the fighting over Korea. The detail of the cockpit, the seat included, is among the most closely watched elements on models of this aircraft.

Use and tips

• Separate the parts from the casting blocks with a sharp knife or a saw.
• Before gluing, wash them free of the remains of the release agent and degrease them.
• Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate).
• We recommend spraying the seat with an airbrush and bringing out the details with a wash.
