Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the early configuration of the Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat carrier fighter in 1:48 scale from Hobby Boss. The model offers engraved surface detail, a well-equipped cockpit, a twin-row radial engine and the option of building the wings spread or folded. The package usually also holds underwing stores such as a drop tank, unguided rockets and bombs.
The Grumman F6F Hellcat was an American single-seat carrier fighter of the Second World War, designed with the experience of the fighting in the Pacific in mind. The F6F-3 version was the first production variant; it was powered by a powerful Pratt & Whitney radial engine. The Hellcat became one of the most successful fighters of the US Navy.
Join the plastic parts with liquid modeling cement. The cockpit and the engine come out best when painted separately before the fuselage is closed up. Use a primer before spraying the colors, and lay the dark blue naval camouflage on with an airbrush. Settle the decals with a decal softener and even the surface out with a matte varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
