An injection-molded plastic kit of the Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat carrier fighter in 1:48 scale from the Hobby Boss brand. The model has engraved panel structure, a worked-out cockpit, a clear canopy and decals for period US Navy finishes.
The Grumman F6F Hellcat was the key carrier fighter of the US Navy in the second half of the Pacific war. The F6F-5 version was the most numerous and highest-performing variant, with an improved engine and aerodynamic refinements. Rugged and reliable, the Hellcat contributed markedly to US Navy air superiority.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and sand the joints. Paint the cockpit before closing the fuselage. The dark blue naval finish comes to life with an airbrush, and a gloss coat should go on before the decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
