Smer 1:48 Fokker D.VII is a plastic kit of the legendary German fighter biplane of the First World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Fokker D.VII fighter biplane in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Smer. It is an older, simpler mold, and thanks to its lower demands it is an easy way into building First World War aircraft even for less experienced modelers.
The Fokker D.VII is one of the best fighters of the First World War. It entered service in 1918 and excelled in handling and in behavior at high angles of attack. It was feared enough that the Armistice named it expressly among the equipment Germany had to hand over. Characteristic of it are its slab-sided fuselage and thick wings with no external wire bracing.
With an older mold, expect to clean up the edges of the parts and to fill any gaps. Use a thin cement for plastic. Apply a base before painting. The typical multi-colored lozenge covering and the personal markings of the fighter pilots are a rewarding subject; an airbrush and patient masking will help.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
