An injection-molded plastic kit of the two-seat version of the first-generation British Harrier in 1:48 scale from Kinetic. The edition captures the well-known trials machine operated by the QinetiQ organization, which served research for many years. In the box you will find plastic sprues, clear glazing parts and decals for these markings; the kit is based on the proven Kinetic two-seat tooling.
The two-seat Harriers came about as training versions with a lengthened fuselage and a second cockpit behind the first in tandem. The particular machine in this edition served for a long time as a flying testbed; it was used among other things in the development of automatic vertical landing and in support of new-generation combat aircraft programs. It was one of the longest-serving two-seat Harriers.
Finish and paint both cockpits before closing the lengthened fuselage. Mask the extensive glazing of the tandem canopy carefully. Take care with the correct angle of the vectoring nozzles. Spray large areas with an airbrush and apply gloss varnish under the decals. Fit the landing gear and any external stores at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
