The Hawker Hurricane Mk.I 1:48 (Arma Hobby) is a modern plastic kit of the British fighter from the Battle of Britain with fine detail and masks.
Responsibility details are not available.
A modern injection-molded plastic kit from Arma Hobby in 1:48 scale with finely engraved panel lines and crisp surface detail. The boxing contains self-adhesive masks for the canopy and the wheels and a decal sheet with several finish options. It is the Mk.I version with metal wings; there is also a choice between different shapes of propeller blades and spinner to capture particular machines.
The Hawker Hurricane Mk.I was a British single-seat fighter that, together with the Spitfire, formed the backbone of the defense of Great Britain during the Battle of Britain in 1940. It was powered by a liquid-cooled Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 and its armament consisted of machine guns in the wings. Thanks to its structure with a tube frame and partly fabric covering it was tough and easy to repair, and during the Battle of Britain it was credited with a high number of victories.
Glue the injection-molded plastic with a thinner modeling cement. The enclosed self-adhesive masks make it easier to spray the canopy framing and the wheels. Apply a primer before painting, and an airbrush is ideal; British camouflage schemes (for example pattern A/B) reward careful masking of the color boundaries and subsequent fine emphasis of the panels and weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
