MiG-25 PD 1:48 from ICM is a plastic kit of the Soviet high-speed interceptor, one of the iconic machines of the Cold War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This large injection-molded plastic kit in 1:48 scale captures the Soviet MiG-25 PD interceptor. The model offers a detailed cockpit, a well broken-down fuselage and underwing armament in the form of guided missiles. ICM is a Ukrainian maker whose newer molds are marked out by fine surface engraving and good accuracy of shape. The finished model is among the larger ones at this scale.
The MiG-25 was created at the Mikoyan design bureau in the late 1960s as an interceptor able to fly at around three times the speed of sound. The MiG-25 PD version received upgraded avionics and armament and was built from the late 1970s. Besides the Soviet Air Force (later the Russian Air Force), these machines served in several countries of the Middle East and North Africa.
Because of the size of the fuselage, make sure both halves line up firmly and cleanly and sand the joints down. Fit out and paint the cockpit before closing it. Join the plastic with thin cement. Apply a primer before painting, spray the shades with an airbrush and bring out the panel lines with a fine wash. Gloss varnish under the decals will keep them from silvering, and a final matte varnish will even the surface out.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
