The Mitsubishi A6M5 Zero Type 52a is a plastic kit in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Eduard in the Weekend edition.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit from the Czech maker Eduard, based in Obrnice. The Weekend edition is this brand's simplified version: it holds plastic and decals, but the maker does not add the photo-etched parts or masks that go into the higher ranges. It is the choice for anyone who wants to build a model without extra material and without working with metal.
The Mitsubishi A6M, nicknamed the Zero, was a carrier fighter of the Imperial Japanese Navy and in the first year of the war in the Pacific it had no equal opponent among Allied machines. It owed that to its extraordinary range and agility, bought, however, with a light structure without armor and without self-sealing tanks. The A6M5 version was given shortened rounded wingtips and individual exhausts, which added to its speed. The 52a subversion then carried belt-fed cannons, so the ammunition supply went up.
Finish the cockpit and paint it before you glue the fuselage together, or you will no longer reach it. The parts are glued with liquid cement for plastic and the photo-etched parts with super glue. Fit the glazing and mask it before spraying. Before the decals, go over the areas with a gloss coat; on a matte surface air would be trapped under a decal and the edge would turn white. Unify the finished paintwork with a matte varnish and only then add the chipping and the exhaust stains.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
