An injection-molded plastic kit of the legendary Polish PZL P.11c fighter aircraft in 1:48 scale. The Model Set version is conceived as a complete starter set: besides the plastic parts it also contains a basic set of paints, glue and a brush, so you only need to add the usual modeling tools. Decals for period Polish markings are usually part of it.
The PZL P.11c was a Polish high-wing fighter with the distinctive cranked gull wing, and in the early nineteen thirties it ranked among the best fighter equipment in the world. In September 1939 it formed the backbone of the Polish fighter force, and despite its aging design the Polish pilots took it up against the Luftwaffe. Its silhouette with the fixed landing gear and the open cockpit is easy to recognize to this day.
Glue the plastic with liquid cement for plastic and sand the joints down once they have dried. Before painting it pays to treat the surface with primer. An airbrush is ideal for the overall shades, while the paints enclosed with the set will serve for the details and for a beginner's coat applied by brush. The segmentation of the gull wing and of the struts calls for careful dry-fitting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The basic paints, the glue and the brush are part of the package with this set; the other accessories are not, unless stated otherwise.
