Responsibility details are not available.
A set of unassembled plastic figures from the Ukrainian manufacturer ICM in 1:48 scale. It represents pilots and ground crew of the Royal Air Force (RAF) in tropical uniforms from the years 1941 to 1945. The figures are intended for adding to aircraft models and for bringing dioramas of field airfields in hot climates to life.
During operations in North Africa, the Middle East and Asia, RAF personnel wore lighter tropical uniforms in khaki shades, often combined with the traditional blue-gray. The set captures characteristic features such as flying helmets, goggles and life vests, and so conveys the everyday reality of airmen and mechanics in the desert.
First clean the flash off the parts and glue them with plastic cement. Apply a primer before painting. Tropical uniforms come out well in khaki and sand tones with the folds brought out by shading and dry brushing; work the faces up in detail with glazes. The figures can be set out in genre scenes beside an aircraft model.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
