An injection-molded plastic kit of the American light attack aircraft Cessna A-37B Dragonfly in 1:48 scale from Trumpeter. The model has fine surface detail, a cockpit with side-by-side seats, a two-piece canopy, detailed landing gear and a rich selection of external stores. Photo-etched parts are included as well.
The Cessna A-37 Dragonfly was a small light attack aircraft developed from a jet trainer. The A-37B version received more powerful engines, equipment for in-flight refueling, an increased fuel load and a strengthened airframe. A pair of small jet engines and the ability to carry bombs and rocket pods made it a popular machine for counter-insurgency and light strike tasks.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with thin liquid cement for plastic, and the fine photo-etched parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer before painting and spray the camouflage with an airbrush in thin coats. Reward the rich armament on the pylons with careful shading and a fine wash into the engraved lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
