A set of three US antennas with brackets in 1:48 scale from Aber. A metal accessory, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains three US antennas with their brackets in 1:48 scale, for completing models of Allied vehicles of the Second World War. This is not a model but a metal accessory. The antennas are fine metal rods together with photo-etched or turned brackets for mounting them on the hull of the vehicle. The manufacturer is the Polish brand Aber.
Whip antennas were standard equipment on American tanks and armored vehicles, fixed in a characteristic bracket on the hull. On plastic models the antennas tend to be coarse, fragile or missing altogether. A metal version has a more faithful profile and is more robust, and a separate photo-etched bracket then gives the mounting a convincing look.
Glue the bracket to the appropriate place on the hull, set the antenna into it and fix it with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Spray the metal with a primer before painting. The antenna can be leaned slightly for an impression of movement.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
