Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from the manufacturer Clear Prop captures the late version of the Japanese carrier fighter Mitsubishi A5M2b, given the code Claude by the Allies. The kit is treated as a more demanding, advanced set: besides the plastic frames including a clear one it holds a set of photo-etched parts, masking templates and a film for the instrument panel. The richly engraved surface with fine rivets matches the modern standard.
The Mitsubishi A5M was the first Japanese all-metal monoplane carrier fighter with fixed landing gear and became the direct predecessor of the famous A6M Zero. The late A5M2b version received a more powerful engine and was committed above all over China in the second half of the 1930s. The aircraft stood out for its agility and low weight.
Bond the plastic parts with a thin modeling cement for plastic and the fine photo-etched elements with super glue. Lay on a primer before painting; an airbrush will give smooth coverage on small areas. The masks supplied make painting the cockpit glazing easier.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
