The injection-molded plastic kit Mikromir 1:72 Blohm & Voss P.193 captures a German project aircraft that stayed on paper and was never built.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Mikromir represents the German ground-attack project aircraft Blohm & Voss P.193. It is a so-called paper project from the end of the Second World War, that is, a design which never crossed the boundary of the drawings and was never built or flown. The model thus offers an unusual concept that nobody ever saw in reality.
The Blohm & Voss P.193 was a project for a ground-attack aircraft intended as the successor to the Ju 87 Stuka dive bomber. It belongs to the group of unrealized German design studies from the late phase of the war which experimented with an unconventional arrangement of the airframe, the powerplant and the armament. Because a real machine never came into being, all figures on its performance remain at the level of design intent, not of proven practice.
Use a thin modeling cement on the plastic. With kits from small manufacturers expect to spend more care on the fit and possibly on filling the joints. Mask the canopy glazing. Assemble and paint the landing gear and the smaller parts before you finish the airframe. Because this is a project with no real subject, the color scheme is to a certain extent up to the builder; period German shades applied with an airbrush and subtly picked-out panels work well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
