Responsibility details are not available.
Injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet BTR-60PB armored personnel carrier in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian maker ICM. This is the later, fully enclosed version of the BTR-60 family, with an armored roof and a small rotating turret. The kit captures the boat-shaped hull on eight wheels, the turret with its armament and the external equipment. The exact contents of the package and the number of marking options are not stated here.
The BTR-60 was a Soviet amphibious wheeled armored personnel carrier with 8x8 drive, introduced from the end of the 1950s. The BTR-60PB version was the most widely built and the most capable variant of the line: it received a fully enclosed armored hull and a rotating turret with a heavy machine gun, which raised its firepower considerably. The vehicle kept its amphibious capability with the water jet and served in enormous numbers with the armies of the Warsaw Pact and of many other countries.
Start by assembling and painting the running gear and all the wheels, then put the enclosed hull and the turret together; leave the turret free to rotate for later handling. Glue the parts with thin modeling cement for plastic. Lay down a primer and the colors with an airbrush; the busy hull and turret come alive once the edges are picked out and a wash and dust and mud pigments are added to the lower part of the vehicle.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
