The Ukrainian brand Clear Prop Models has prepared a set of replacement landing gear wheels for the EMB-145 transport aircraft in 1:72 scale. The fine definition of the hubs and tires gives a machine on a stand the credibility that ordinary kit parts cannot offer. The set is intended for a particular kit, whose designation you will find in the full product name.
The Embraer EMB-145, also known as the ERJ-145, is a Brazilian regional jet for roughly fifty passengers that has connected smaller airports all over the world since the 1990s. Military special versions for early warning and maritime patrol also grew out of it, so the wheels will find their way to builders of civilian and military versions of this successful type alike.
On transport aircraft the landing gear tends to be the only markedly defined feature of an otherwise smooth airframe, so careful shading pays off. Paint the hubs light gray or white according to period photographs, take the tires down to anthracite and bring out the brake areas with a dark wash. Try the fit on the landing gear legs dry beforehand and only then glue them.
