An injection-molded plastic kit of the Mercedes-Benz G4 heavy staff car in its 1935 form, in 1:72 scale from ICM. The model is supplied as an unassembled and unpainted set with parts in gray plastic, clear parts for the glazing and a decal sheet. The large three-axle car is a rewarding subject even in the small scale thanks to its fine detailing.
The Mercedes-Benz G4 was a luxury off-road car with three axles, created in the middle of the 1930s. It was powered by an eight-cylinder engine and offered room for several passengers. Because of its high cost and complexity only a small number were built, and it served mainly as a ceremonial and staff vehicle for the highest officials. The open body with its long hood makes it an easily recognized type.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. It is a good idea to assemble and paint the chassis and the interior before closing the body up. Apply the primer and the covering shade with an airbrush and build the weathering with washes and pigments, which will bring out the detailing of the fenders and the running gear. Fit the glazing only once the paintwork is finished.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
