Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Hawker Sea Fury carrier fighter in the FB.11 version, in 1:72 scale from Trumpeter. The FB.11 was the main combat version, intended both for fighter work and for attacks on ground targets. The kit lets you build the wings either spread or folded in the shipboard position. The box holds clear parts for the canopy glazing. Check the exact contents of the box and the number of marking schemes against the kit number on the box.
The Sea Fury was one of the last and most powerful piston-engined carrier fighters. It was powered by the massive Bristol Centaurus radial engine and was a very fast and agile aircraft. It saw practically no combat in the Second World War, but it made its name in the Korean War, where it operated successfully from the decks of British carriers, mainly as a strike fighter against ground targets. It also served with a number of other navies and became a popular machine for postwar air racing.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue them with liquid modeling cement for plastic. Paint the cockpit and pick out its detail before you close the fuselage up, and mask the clear glazing while spraying. Decide in advance whether you will build the wings spread or folded into the shipboard position. Apply a primer and spray the colors with an airbrush, lay the decals over a gloss coat and bring out the panel lines with a wash. Finish the propeller and the underwing stores last.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
