Responsibility details are not available.
A resin accessory made by 3D printing: the German standard twenty-liter jerrycan of the Second World War in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit but a small accessory of stowage, for the fenders and rear plates of armored vehicles, for the cargo beds of trucks, into dioramas of refueling points and military camps. The print captures the characteristic swage of the walls and the three handles. The part is supplied unpainted and with the print supports in place.
The German standard jerrycan came about in the second half of the 1930s and became one of the most copied pieces of field equipment of the war: the Allies named their own jerrycan after it. The body was made of two sheet-metal pressings welded by a single seam around the perimeter, recessed into the wall so that an impact would not damage it. The swage on the sides stiffened the vessel, the closure opened by hand without tools and the three handles were meant to allow two full or four empty cans to be carried at once. The capacity of 20 liters also made it easier to count supplies.
Wash the resin in warm water with detergent, remove the print supports after warming in hot water and level the seating faces. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). After the primer spray the cans in the base color of the vehicle, then set them apart with a wash and with pigments. Oil and dust around the closure and along the bottom edge will give the part a worn look.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
