A plastic kit of the Lavochkin La-5FN (1:72, Smer) — the Soviet Second World War fighter with a radial engine.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet Lavochkin La-5FN fighter in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Smer. It is a classic kit of an older cut with a manageable number of parts and decals, suitable even for less experienced modelers as a straightforward introduction to building Second World War fighters. The exact contents of the package and the decal options are not stated here.
The La-5FN was a capable Soviet fighter with a wood-and-metal structure and a powerful air-cooled radial engine. The FN designation refers to the engine with direct fuel injection, which gave the machines better performance at low and medium altitudes. The La-5FN was one of the mainstays of the Soviet fighter force in the second half of the war and in the hands of experienced pilots it became a feared opponent.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue them with thin cement for plastic. With an older kit a dry test fit of the parts and cleaning up of the parting seams and flash pay off. Paint the interior and the cockpit before closing the fuselage. Soviet fighters come out well with lightened surfaces and emphasized panel lines; apply a gloss coat before the decals and finish the whole with a matte coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
