The plastic kit Lavochkin La-7 (1:72, Smer) — the peak Soviet fighter of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet Lavochkin La-7 fighter in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Smer. It is a classic kit of older cut with a manageable part count and decals, suitable for less experienced modelers too as a straightforward way into building fighters of the Second World War. Check the exact contents of the package and the decal options against the manufacturer's information.
The La-7 was the peak development stage of the Lavochkin line of fighters and one of the best Soviet fighters of the Second World War. With aerodynamic refinements and a lightened structure it surpassed its predecessor the La-5FN and excelled in speed, agility and rate of climb at low and medium altitudes. Leading Soviet fighter aces flew it and the machine became a symbol of the superiority of the Soviet Air Force in the closing stages of the war.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue them with a thin cement for plastic. With an older kit it pays to dry-fit the parts and to clean up any parting seams and flash. Paint the interior and the cockpit before closing the fuselage. Soviet fighters come out best once the surfaces have been lightened and the panel lines brought out; varnish gloss before the decals and finish the whole with a matte varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
