This injection-molded plastic kit from Revell allows the modern German main battle tank Leopard 2 to be built in the A6 or the A6M variant. The set in 1:72 scale offers a finely rendered surface with anti-slip coating, a rotating turret with an elevating gun, two-part flexible tracks and hatches that open. The decal sheet covers several real Bundeswehr vehicles.
The Leopard 2 is one of the most successful Western tanks. The A6 version brought a lengthened barrel for the 120 mm smoothbore gun and improved frontal armor, and the A6M version added strengthened mine protection. The tank serves in the German army and with a number of other users and has proved itself in international deployments.
Assemble the flexible tracks according to the instructions and paint them separately before gluing them on. Use thin cement on the plastic. Treat the model with primer and mask for the present-day three-tone NATO camouflage; complete the weathering with a wash into the recesses and dust pigments on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
