The Soviet Maxim machine gun with crew in 1:72 scale is a snap-fit plastic figure set with machine guns and crew for dioramas and tabletop games.
Responsibility details are not available.
This figure set in 1:72 scale contains the Soviet Maxim heavy machine gun together with its crew from the period 1941 to 1943. The package includes unpainted parts for the machine guns and for the figures of the soldiers; it is a snap-fit form which can be assembled even without glue. The set is intended to bring dioramas to life and to serve as a unit in tabletop wargames.
The Maxim machine gun was one of the main firepower weapons of the Soviet infantry. Although it was heavy, it stood out for its reliability and simple maintenance, and it therefore stayed in Red Army service throughout the Second World War. The characteristic wheeled mount and shield were part of its typical look on the battlefield.
Separate the parts carefully and clean them up; the snap-fit joints seat even without glue, but for strength a drop of thin cement is advisable. Spray the set with a base coat, then with the basic shades of the uniforms and the metal. Highlighting with a dark wash will deepen the detail of both the crew and the mechanism of the machine gun; fine dust pigments will add realism to the scene.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
