A plastic kit of a late version of the German fighter aircraft Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-10 in 1:72 scale. The model is supplied unassembled.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was the principal German single-engine fighter aircraft of the Second World War, and in successive versions it accompanied the whole war. The G-10 version is among the late machines of the G series. It was given the DB 605 D engine, that is a liquid-cooled twelve-cylinder V, and with it a modified nose and a canopy without a transverse frame, which improved the pilot's view. A number of machines of this version carried a taller vertical tail. The aircraft was built for performance at high altitude and against the late Allied fighters.
The basis is a plastic kit in 1:72 scale. The parts are held on sprues, so cut them off before the build, clean up the mating surfaces and dry-fit the main assemblies together. For the build, have a sprue cutter, a sharp blade, a file, sandpaper and cement for plastic ready.
In 1:72 scale the cleanness of the joints is decisive, above all on the leading edge of the wing and on the joint of the fuselage halves; fill the seams and sand them down before you start painting. Mask the canopy before spraying and fit it only after the paintwork is finished. Apply the paint in thin layers so that the fine engraving stays legible. Go over the surface with a gloss clear coat before the decals, otherwise matte edges will appear under them, and unify the finished model with a matte clear coat at the end.
The set is for modelers of Second World War aircraft in 1:72 scale. Paints, glue, putty and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
