A resin detail set from the Clear Prop Models brand in 1:72 scale. It contains precisely cast exhausts and cooling gills for models of the Mitsubishi Ki-51 Sonia and is intended for all versions of the machine. It replaces the corresponding plastic parts; the model itself is not included.
The Ki-51 Sonia was a Japanese light bomber and reconnaissance aircraft of the Second World War with a radial engine. The cooling gills around the engine cowling and the exhaust pipes are among the prominent features of the nose; a fine resin casting captures them more sharply than injection-molded plastic.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Open gills come out well with shadow inside them, and the exhausts with metal and rust shades.
The set contains resin parts only. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
