The 1:72 MV-22B Osprey - VMM-362 Ugly Angels (2025) is a plastic kit of the American tiltrotor in the markings of squadron VMM-362 from the manufacturer Hasegawa.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the tiltrotor MV-22B Osprey in 1:72 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Hasegawa. It is a release of an established mold with new decals for squadron VMM-362 as of 2025. The manufacturer encloses a stand and a modified blade aerial with the box. As with all Hasegawa limited editions, the boxing is produced in limited numbers, so a repeat release cannot be counted on.
The V-22 Osprey is a tiltrotor: at the end of the wing it has tilting nacelles with rotors, so it takes off and lands vertically like a helicopter, but in flight it tips over into turboprop mode and gains twice the speed and a far greater range. The MV-22B version is a machine of the United States Marine Corps and serves to move troops and cargo from ships to shore. Squadron VMM-362 carries the traditional nickname Ugly Angels, which it inherited from a helicopter unit of the 1960s.
Decide the position of the nacelles first — vertical takeoff or forward flight. They should be glued only once the wing is finished, so that the angle does not go out of true. The large dark gray areas will take only very gentle panel lightening, otherwise the model looks artificial. The rotor blades have a sharp angle of twist, so glue them into the hub only once the paint has dried, and dry-fit them beforehand to check that they seat alike.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
