Pz.Kpfw II Ausf.D 1:72 (First to Fight) is a simple plastic kit of the German light tank of the early Second World War, suited to a quick build.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Polish brand First to Fight captures the German Panzer II light tank in the Ausf.D version. It is a quickly built model from the series devoted to the campaign of 1939, with a small number of parts, one-piece tracks and both assembly and painting instructions printed right on the box. A decal sheet with markings is included as well.
The Panzer II Ausf.D differed from the usual versions in its running gear with large road wheels and a torsion bar suspension system, which gave it a higher speed. The vehicle was conceived as a fast combat tank and it was deployed, among other places, during the Polish campaign. Some of these chassis were later rebuilt for other purposes. In the first years of the war the Panzer II was one of the numerical mainstays of the German armored units.
Thanks to the low number of parts the model is manageable even for beginners. Glue the joints with thin cement for plastic, lay down a base (primer) before painting and apply the shades with an airbrush or a brush. Dark washes in the recesses and fine dry brushing of the edges and rivets will stand out.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
