An accessory set of resin castings intended to improve the interior of a model of the Scottish Aviation Twin Pioneer in 1:72 scale. It replaces the cabin fittings corresponding to the military versions, where simpler seats for carrying people and cargo were used instead of comfortable armchairs. It is neither a model nor a kit of the aircraft: what you get is accessory parts only.
A resin casting captures fine detail that cannot be done by injection molding into a mold: thin sections, pressed details and the texture of the upholstery. In 1:72 scale the interior is visible through the windows and the transparent glazing, so even a small improvement to the cabin fittings shows in the final impression the model makes.
First wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent to remove any remains of the release agent from the mold, as the paint would otherwise not hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a hobby knife and do not snap them; when sanding resin, protect your airways and sand wet. They are glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate), as ordinary cement for plastic does not work. Paint the seats separately before gluing them into the fuselage, because once the interior is finished there is no getting at them. Fill small bubbles in the casting with a drop of super glue with a filler and sand it down; on resin this is a common and quick repair.
The package contains accessory parts only. The kit, glue and paints are not included.
