This injection-molded plastic kit from ICM represents the light German armored reconnaissance car Sd.Kfz.222 in the popular small 1:72 scale. The set offers finely rendered detail of the open turret with its armament and the anti-grenade screen, plus a decal sheet for period markings. The finished model is about 66 mm long.
The Sd.Kfz.222 was one of the main light reconnaissance vehicles of the Wehrmacht. It was built on a wheeled chassis and its open turret carried a 2 cm quick-firing cannon backed up by a machine gun. The vehicle proved itself thanks to its speed and mobility and was committed on practically every front before and during the Second World War.
Because of the small parts of the open turret, work patiently and use thin cement for plastic. Treat the model with primer first, apply the colors with an airbrush and mask for two-tone or three-tone camouflage schemes. Create the weathering with a wash into the recesses and dust pigments on the chassis.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
