A set of figures of an assault group in North Atlantic Alliance service, 1:72 scale from Spalah. 3D-printed resin, supplied unpainted.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds figures of an assault group of soldiers in current North Atlantic Alliance kit, in 1:72 scale. The maker is the Ukrainian brand Spalah, which 3D-prints its figures from photopolymer resin. It is in the small scales that printing is a great advantage, because it allows the helmet, the load-carrying vest and the way the weapon is held to be modeled clearly enough that the figures do not look like crude castings on the model. Supplied unpainted and with print supports.
Today's infantry in North Atlantic Alliance armies can be recognized by the modular load-carrying vest with its pouches, the helmet with rails for sights and a headset, and by knee and elbow pads. An assault group advances at intervals, so with figures of this kind you find crouched and kneeling postures, not just an upright stance. That is valuable for a diorama, because movement brings a scene to life more than detail of the kit does.
Wash the print resin residue off the figures, cut the print supports away and sand the marks with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). In 1:72 scale work with contrast rather than with a large number of shades; fine transitions are lost on a figure this small. Suggest the camouflage pattern with only a few tones and separate the kit with a dark wash.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
