This injection-molded plastic kit from Trumpeter represents the Soviet T-10 heavy tank in the small 1:72 scale. A compact model with a manageable part count, it suits a quicker build too and fits nicely into a collection of Soviet armor.
The T-10 was the last Soviet series-produced heavy tank and followed on from the IS series of heavy tanks. It was marked by heavy armor, a powerful large-caliber gun and a low, characteristic silhouette. In service it stood during the Cold War as a counterweight to the heavy tanks of a potential opponent.
Even in a small scale it pays to assemble the running gear and the lower hull before closing it up and to paint them separately. Give attention to the tracks and road wheels, and build the patina with a fine wash and pigments for dust effects. An airbrush will give an even base coat, and the small details can be finished with a brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
