This injection-molded plastic kit depicts the tracked Marder infantry fighting vehicle in the 1A3 version, in the form in which it entered service with Ukrainian units. It comes from a recent mold with finely rendered relief on the hull and the running gear. The box contains parts for building one model and a decal sheet with Ukrainian markings.
The Marder was developed in West Germany as the main infantry fighting vehicle of the mechanized units of the Bundeswehr and entered service in the 1970s. The upgrade to the 1A3 standard brought stronger armor, a modified suspension and improved brakes. From 2023 vehicles of this type were delivered to Ukraine, where they were used above all by airborne and assault units.
On a vehicle kit it is worth assembling and painting the running gear and the lower hull before the model is closed up. Use thin cement for plastic, treat the surface with a primer and apply the covering shade with an airbrush. Washes and pigments for dust and mud effects round off the final look.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
