An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from Revell, based on a newer mold. The package contains plastic sprues and decals for several versions. A small but busy model, it captures the self-propelled gun with its open fighting compartment at the rear.
The Grille Ausf. M was a German self-propelled gun of the Second World War which carried a 15 cm heavy infantry gun on the proven chassis of the Panzer 38(t). On the M version the engine was moved to the middle of the vehicle, which created room at the rear for an open fighting compartment with the gun. The Grille supported the infantry with fire from immediately behind the front line.
In a small scale it pays to assemble and paint the running gear before finishing the hull. The open compartment reveals the interior, so work it up and accentuate it with a wash. Mud and dust pigments on the running gear will give the vehicle a faithful look in the field.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
