An injection-molded plastic kit of the German three-axle staff car Mercedes-Benz Type G4 in the Partisanenwagen version with an MG 34 machine gun, in 1:72 scale from ICM. The package contains gray and clear plastic parts, small metal and rubber parts and color instructions.
The three-axle G4 was designed by Daimler-Benz in 1934 and was built until the end of the 1930s. It served the senior figures of Germany at the time and the army alike as a representative and staff vehicle. Some cars were given an MG 34 machine gun and were used for escort and protection duties; it is these armed versions that tend to be called Partisanenwagen.
Build the chassis and the interior first, as they are harder to reach once the body is closed over them. Use a liquid cement for plastic, and glue the metal and rubber parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Both the gloss and the matte surfaces of the car benefit from discreet weathering with a wash, and dust pigment shows up well on the tires.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
