This is an injection-molded plastic kit of the American Bell-Boeing V-22 Osprey tiltrotor in 1:72 scale. The kit from Italeri contains plastic parts in gray and clear plus a decal sheet. The model faithfully captures the characteristic silhouette of the machine with its tilting engine nacelles.
The V-22 Osprey is a unique tiltrotor aircraft that combines the vertical takeoff and landing of a helicopter with the speed and range of a turboprop airplane. The nacelles with the rotors tilt from the vertical position into the horizontal, by which the machine moves from helicopter mode into forward flight. The American armed forces use it to carry troops, equipment and supplies.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic, and the clear parts with canopy glue, so that they do not fog. A primer base and spraying with an airbrush are recommended. Give particular attention to the mechanism of the tilting nacelles and to laying the decals cleanly onto a gloss coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
