This injection-molded plastic kit from ICM captures the Soviet three-axle ZiL-157 off-road truck fitted with a closed box body for command and signals duties. The small 1:72 scale makes it easy to place in larger scenes; a decal sheet for period markings is not missing from the package.
The ZiL-157 was one of the most widespread Soviet trucks of the postwar era. Drive to all three axles and a central tire pressure regulation system made it a dependable off-road vehicle, which served for decades in the army and in the civilian sector. In the command version it carried a closed box body with staff or signals equipment.
Assemble the chassis with the axles first and then the cab and the body. Use liquid cement on the plastic. Apply the paint with an airbrush over a base coat; the large surfaces of the body suit fine shading, with discreet dust weathering from pigments on the chassis and the tires.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
