Revell 65 Bronze Green is a synthetic enamel (solvent-based) paint from the Revell Email Color range, a 14 ml bottle, with a matte degree of sheen. According to the manufacturer the shade corresponds to RAL 6031, a dark green tending toward black which is one of the classic military camouflage shades. This is a model paint, not a kit.
It is not an acrylic, so it is not thinned with water. Revell Color Mix, or a thinner for enamels (mineral spirits), serves for thinning and mixing; it is applied with a brush and with an airbrush. On the large areas of a hull it is better to spray several thin coats, because the enamel then dries evenly and keeps a matte, dusty look. The matte surface is at the same time an ideal base for pigments and dry brushing.
Tip: decals (tactical numbers, insignia) silver on matte paint. Coat the spot under the decal with a gloss clear, apply the decal over the gloss and unify the whole model with a matte coat at the end. Only then bring in washes and pigments.
