A set of two sheets of high impact polystyrene (HIPS) 0.5 mm thick in A4 format (roughly 210 x 300 mm) from Master Tools. An all-round material for scratch-building and making your own parts. The 0.5 mm thickness offers a good compromise between workability and stiffness and suits skins, bulkheads and structural elements alike.
The material is cut by scoring with a knife and snapping along a ruler, sanded and glued with cement for plastic or with super glue. Over a primer it can be painted with ordinary modeling paints.
For modelers and diorama builders who modify kits, add structures or make parts from scratch.
Take care when cutting and sanding, work on a mat and clear the offcuts away; do not inhale the fine dust.
