Abrasive papers with an adhesive layer on the back that can be used over and over. The paper sticks to a sanding pad, a plate or a backing of your own and holds without tape and without clips; it does not lose its tack when peeled off, so the same sheet can be stuck onto a different shape. That is the main difference against ordinary self-adhesive paper, where sticking it down is a one-time affair.
The backing has to be clean and free of dust, otherwise the adhesive layer will not seat and the paper ripples during sanding. Once the tack has clogged it can be restored by rinsing in lukewarm water and drying thoroughly. Guide the paper along the surface rather than in circles, and with fine grits work wet so that the abrasive does not clog with the paint it removes.
Do not peel the paper off sharply from a finished painted surface it might be resting on; the adhesive layer has surprising strength and could damage fresh paint. Do not breathe in the sanding dust and wipe the work area with a damp cloth afterward.
A sanding pad and the model are not included in the package.
Always let the paper dry out completely after work before you put it away. A damp sheet sticks to itself and taking it apart again without damaging the abrasive is practically impossible. A hard board or the original packaging is enough for storage, the main thing being that the adhesive side is not pressed against anything dusty.
